Saw Guides require precise control of water and oil. Here's a VIDEO showing how a Weyco Raymond Guide Lube system can be used to provide this precision control.
The basic concept of the Weyco Raymond Guide Lube system is to control water and oil, very precisely. The flow meters shown, register water volume flowing through them in realtime. One of the biggest issues seen in all systems is when saw guides start to block off, water volume starts to diminish. The system utilizes these flow meters that have a programmable set point that will send out an alarm when the water volumes drop so the machine can be stopped before any damage occurs. The guides can then be cleaned and restarted, saving the mill a potential saw and guide change, and more extensive downtime.
